He Who Began A Good Work In You

The past month has been one roller coaster ride. For some reason, it slowly came to a halt. And now I am struggling. My comfort comes with the thought that if I am struggling, it means that I am in the right direction. Going against your will is always hard. But I believe I am somehow getting there. Probing through the cloud of thrills, I am slowly getting a clear view of what is and what is not. Now I rest on God to complete His work in me.

Twisted

Separated by time,
We reached out to each other
Hoping to close the distance
And not feel so empty.

Without any word,
Our hands were slowly entwined
Blurring the spaces in between
If only for a moment we can be free.

Twisted mind, twisted hope,
Crazy and unpredictable as you are
Make haste in letting us see
How foolish we can be.

Our Deepest Fear

(I so love this poem by Marianne Williamson)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frighten us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking, so that others won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us;
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others.
